Refund and Deposit Policy

Clear terms for reserving a puppy, written before you pay anything.

How deposits work

A deposit reserves a specific puppy for you and removes the puppy from our available listings. We ask for a deposit only after you have inquired, and had your questions answered by us. The deposit amount, the balance, and the due date are stated in your written reservation details, and the deposit is credited toward the purchase price.

When a deposit is refunded

  • If we cannot complete the sale for any reason on our side
  • If a veterinarian finds a serious health problem with the puppy before it goes home
  • If the puppy cannot travel safely and no reasonable alternative date or method can be agreed

When a deposit can be transferred

If your circumstances change, ask us. A deposit can usually be transferred once to another available puppy or a future litter within 12 months.

When a deposit is non-refundable

Because a reserved puppy is taken off the market and other families are turned away, deposits are otherwise non-refundable if the buyer changes their mind or does not complete the purchase by the agreed date.

Delivery costs

Delivery costs that have already been paid to a third party (for example, a non-refundable airline ticket) may not be refundable. We tell you before any such cost is committed.

Returns after go-home

Returns after the puppy goes home are handled under the Puppy Sales Agreement, including the 7-day veterinary exam provision.
